360° VR Tour
  • Moving from Bosu Town to Gamcheon

Doju relocated the Dao Headquarters from Bosu Town to Gamcheon Town in Busan.
Gamcheon is a spacious valley between Oknyeo Peak
and Mount Cheonma along the stem of Mount Gudeok,
with a view overlooking Gamcheon Port.
From the 8th lunar month of the Eulmi Year (1955)
to the 9th lunar month of the Byeongshin Year (1956),
1,500 of the 3,000 households that lived
around Bosu Temple Complex moved to Gamcheon.
South Gyeongsang Province actively supported the migration of believers
    by providing state-owned land.
The relocation was carried out by constructing houses
in designated areas that corresponded to respective branches,
centered around where the temple complex was set to be built.
After the settlement project was completed,
Doju moved the Temple Complex from Bosu to Gamcheon.
  • Moving the Holy Work Site
    to Gudeok-jeongsa Monastery

After the settlement project was completed,
Doju relocated the Dao Headquarters and the location of the Holy Works
to Gamcheon on the 1st day of the 11th lunar month of the Byeongshin Year (1956).
Doju named the site for the Holy Works Gudeok-jeongsa Monastery
and continued the Holy Works there while also overseeing works related to the Order.
Then, he ordered the construction of Daegang-jeon Hall
to house and enshrine Yeongdae Shrine (the Shrine of Gods) next to the monastery.
  • Enshrining the 15 Categories of
    Divine Beings in Daegang-jeon Hall

    In the Jeongyu Year (1957),
Doju completed the construction of the Daegang-jeon Hall
    within the Gamcheon Temple Complex.
He enshrined the 15 Categories of Divine Beings, including Sangje,
at Yeongdae Shrine (the Shrine of Gods) located on the 2nd floor of the hall,
following the arrangement described in the Incantation of Perfected Dharma.
A devotional offering was then held at the enshrined location.
Next to Yeongdae Shrine, Dharma Hall was installed on the 2nd floor
of Daegang-jeon Hall, serving as Doju’s Holy Work Chamber.
Holy Work rooms for Dao cohorts were prepared on both the 1st and 2nd floors.
After the enshrinement of the 15 Categories of Divine Beings and the preparation
of the Holy Work rooms in Daegang-jeon Hall, everything was ready
for the implementation of the Holy Works of Shihak (Serving the Teaching)
    and Shibeop (Serving the Dharma).
